Tupac Amaru Shakur was only 25 when he was shot on September 7th 1996. He was shot when his entourage stopped at traffic lights on Koval Lane, which is on the Las Vegas Strip. As his entourage stopped at the traffic lights a white caddilac pulled up next to the bmw sedan Tupac and Suge Knight were in. No one got out of the Cadillac but shots were fired at the bmw from the cadillac. Tupac was hit five times once in the hand, once in the side and three times in the chest. Suge Knight was grazed on the back of his neck by a bullet.

Tupac spent the next 7 days in hospital where he was only allowed visits from family members and close friend. One of his close friends boxer Mike Tyson went to visit Tupac  when he was in hospital. Tupac died from his wounds on his seventh day in hospital. The official time and date of his death was - 13 September 1996 4:03PM.
